Angela Popoff, MSW

Role: Geriatric Care Manager

Angela has been a social worker for over 14 years and has been working with older adults for the past 5 years.  Prior to joining the ElderCare Solutions of Michigan team, she worked at the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Michigan Chapter where she provided education, counseling and support to persons with dementia and their caregivers.  Angela worked as their Wraparound Facilitator making home visits in the community, as well as their Henry Ford Health System Memory Clinic Collaborative conducting assessments, participating in diagnostic interdisciplinary summary conferences and yearly follow up neurological appointments at Henry Ford Hospital West Bloomfield.  Outside of her work in elder care, Angela has also worked as an individual and couples therapist and facilitated infant adoption placements. 

Angela earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Oakland University as well as a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan. Currently she serves as a member of the Geriatric Social Workers of Southeastern Michigan.

Getting to Know Angela:

Angela enjoys spending time with her husband and her two children. Shortly, she will be volunteering to co-lead her daughter’s Daisy Scout Troop.  She loves travel especially cruising and any place warm and sunny.  Angela enjoys reading and attends a monthly book club.
